«Viva, Ballet!»
The International Festival of Young Ballet dancers was founded four years ago by the “Foundation for the preservation and development of classical ballet named after Oleg Vinogradov”, together with the Department of directing Ballet of St. Petersburg Conservatory. N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, the theatre “Music Hall”, the New York Association of Classical Dance teachers and the choreography department of SPB Sue. Festival 2017 “Viva Ballet!” We devote to the outstanding choreographer, the native LENINGRADCU/PETERBURZHCU, Vzroshhennomu special atmosphere, beauty and culture of this unique city, people’s Artist of the USSR-Oleg Vinogradov. In 2017, the ballet world will celebrate the 80th anniversary of the birth and 60th anniversary of the creative activity of this outstanding choreographer, director, artist, public figure Oleg Mikhailovich Vinogradov. Its participants are young dancers from the ballet schools of Russia, the USA, Germany, the Czech Republic and Turkey, who have the opportunity to engage with the best teachers of the Mariinsky Theatre, the Academy of Russian Ballet in the course of nineteen festival days. A. Vaganova and Conservatory. N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov, and then, having passed the strict selection, to debut on the big stage in St. Petersburg-the capital of the World Ballet.
In the program of the gala concert next to the debutants will perform the artists of the ballet troupe of the Opera and Ballet Conservatory, other musical theatres of St. Petersburg and the stars of the World Ballet: Julia Mahalina, Igor Kolb, Alexandra Iosifidi, Andrew Makmitchel and Andrea Loshakova. A large ballet evening in two offices will open the reconstruction of the first steps of ballet art, which infancy at the court of the French kings. Fragments of the ballets of Jules Perrault, choreography of Mikhail Fokina and neoclassic of modern choreographers will be presented to the public. The program will complete one of the masterpieces of Marius Petipa – “Grand Pas” from the ballet “Paquita”. The final gala concert will be held on June 26, 2017 in 19.00 on the stage of “Music Hall Theatre” at the address: St. Petersburg, Alexander Park, D. 4.
