We are honored to invite professionals and fans of music, choreography, art therapy to the International Congress of CID at UNESCO on research in the field of dance and musical culture, which will take place on April 25-29, 2018 in St. Petersburg.
The Congress was organized by the St. Petersburg section of the International Dance Council (CID at UNESCO-International Dance Council-Conseil International de la Danse, CID c/O UNESCO, Paris, France) with the support of WPPs. a.i. Herzen (Russia, St. Petersburg), Foundation for the Preservation and development of classical ballet. Oleg Vinogradov.
The main objectives of the Congress:
- Dialogue and creation of new forms of cooperation for the Association of Representatives of the world dance and music culture, art-therapy;
- Expert dialogue on the preservation of intangible cultural heritage.
Objectives of the Congress:
- To provide an opportunity for national cultures to present authentic ethnic forms of dance that require protection and preservation;
- To provide an opportunity for ballet experts to discuss the issue of classical ballet as a universal supranational form of choreography, claiming for entering the representative list of Intangible Cultural heritage of UNESCO;
- To give an opportunity to experts in the field of music and choreography, dance and music therapy to demonstrate the level of skill, to share researches and methods, to generalize advanced pedagogical experience and to exchange scientific Information in the field of pedagogy, psychology of dance art and art therapy.

Among the participants are art historians, cultural, ballet, choreographers and teachers-tutors, specialists in dance and music therapy, performers of all styles, directions and forms of dance. In the framework of the Congress will work the student section on the basis of WPPs. A. And. Herzen, open to students of creative universities.
Representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Brazil, the United Kingdom, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Kazakhstan, Cyprus, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, the USA, Finland, France and Croatia will take part in the Congress.
The official ceremonies of the Congress will be the presentation of memorable exclusive medals of the CID for special merits in international activities in the field of culture and art.
As a result of the Congress, a resolution will be adopted and a collection of scientific articles published.
The Congress is organized in accordance with the principles of the UN and UNESCO. Such events are important for strengthening peacekeeping positions and enhancing the prestige of the country, as well as confirming the image of St. Petersburg as a cultural capital.
